The beginning
Asian Libaas began with a single observation — India’s most talented designers were invisible to most of India. A boutique master in Lucknow could embroider for a Mumbai bride only if the bride happened to know someone who knew someone. We set out to fix that.
The first year
We started with a handful of designers across five cities, an AI design studio that turned customer briefs into mood boards, and a quotation engine that paid designers fairly and on time. Word travelled. Designers brought their networks. Customers brought their celebrations.
Where we are today
Today, Asian Libaas powers custom apparel for weddings, festivals, performance and everyday wear across India. We are also the home of Bharat Fashion Mission — our flagship programme to protect, fund and showcase regional crafts.
